Lascaux is a cave complex near the village of Montignac in the Dordogne department in southwestern France. You can admire more than 600 prehistoric murals that cover the interior walls and ceilings of the cave. You will mainly see large and small animals, some of which have already disappeared. According to the most recent studies, the oldest drawings were made around 17,000 years ago. Several generations have worked there. Ideal to combine with a visit to Sarlat.

Located 8 km from Rocamadour, the Gouffre de Padirac is the most visited gorge in France and one of the most fascinating in Europe. The river plays hide and seek through a labyrinth of cavities adorned with strange rock shapes like mushrooms or rock lace... this underground labyrinth that leads to the Lac de la Pluie with its transparent waters. It is then that one can see the "Grande Pendeloque" (a gigantic stalactite 60 meters high) which, as if suspended from a chain, seems to admire its reflection in the Lac de la Pluie.
